blockbuster video....filed chapter 11....they get to cancel leases....just like that...sorry folks who have invested millions in commercial investment properties, we get to just cancel our lease...the court says we can....sorry!
yes..saundoggy has a property with a blockbuster as the ANCHOR tenant....while i believe this store will survive the closings (it does awesome)...but once again we'll have to bend over and take another shot in the ass...RENT REDUCTION!!!!!!!.... i have other peers that wont be so lucky...
life is so fair i tell you....
and it goes on and on....hell we see it with the contracts for the professional athletes we are so quick to embrace and endear...these bastards sign a contract ...when they perform, they want more..so they hold their teams hostage for more money...this hurts the team you are rooting for...unless of course you just root for an individual player....which makes you a dousche bag...what happens when this player starts to suck...do they give the cash back?....hell fuggen no!
so when a blockbuster is able to file chapter 11 bk, they get to stop paying rent...just like that...the lease never occurred...never happened....blows away like a fart in the wind...
fair? hell no....but neither is life....and neither are professional sports....its all a ruse...
